Fabio Quagliarella edging closer to Sampdoria return

Fabio Quagliarella could sign with his former club Sampdoria to replace Eder Citadin who has just joined Inter for a fee in the region of € 13 million.

The former Juventus striker is likely to leave Torino as his relationship with the Granata ultras has deteriorated since when 33-year-old apparently apologized to the San Paolo fans after netting from the spot in the last Serie A meeting between Granata and his former club Napoli.

Samp have offered € 2.7 million to secure the player’s services. Quagliarella has netted 5 goals in 16 Serie A fixtures so far and is expected to put pen to paper on a one-year and a half deal at the Marassi.

The Italian striker hit-man played for Sampdoria in the 2006-07 campaign scoring 13 goals in 35 games.
