Boca-Schelotto: "I want Bentancur to stay". Milan & Juve, the points
Boca Juniors were in friendly action last night against San Lorenzo and the player in the centre of a transfer tussle between Milan and Juventus, Rodrigo Bentancur, was again on of the protagonists. After the final-whistle, coach Barrios Schelotto gave his views on what will happen to the 19-year-old midfielder, stating that; “There are decisions that do not fall within the remit of the coach because they cannot manage them. I would like Bentancur to remain but it’s not up to me”.
DUAL MILAN-JUVENTUS
A real battle for the player is taking place between Milan and Juventus. The rossoneri has presented an offer to Boca of €14 million plus bonus to try to tempt the Argentines to rethink their “Gentleman’s Agreement” with the bianconeri, struck when Carlos Tevez left Turin last summer. Juve has the right to redeem Bentancur for €9.4 million by April 30 2017. The battle looks set to continue.
