EXCLUSIVE ROMANO: Juve’s move for AC Milan target Bentancur divides Boca
The 19-year-old has agreed personal terms with the rossoneri and the Serie A giants have made an improved bid for the Uruguay International having put on the table a cash offer of € 12-13 million.
Trouble is, Juventus have offered € 3 million to keep the player in Argentina until 2017. The Old Lady can exercise an option to sign Bentancur for just € 9.4 million, the option expires in April 2017.
The Xeneizes’ president Angelici is tempted by the offer of AC Milan, but club’s chiefs, fans and the manager would prefer to keep Bentancur at the club until next season because, they believe, his price-tag could also increase in the next few months and selling him now for ‘just’ € 13 million would be nonsense.
AC Milan have issued ultimatum to Boca, they want a definitive answer within a few days otherwise they will focus on other targets. The rossoneri have no more time to lose.
