Before Sunday night’s Milan derby, rossoneri President Silvio Berlusconi threw some doubt over the future sale of the club. Today however, the outgoing patron used the clubs official website to thank the fans for their support over his 30 years at the helm.
 

“Thank you for the welcome you gave me last night, it was wonderful. To arrive at the San Siro for such an important occasion and be surrounded by so many fans that applauded me was special. It was fantastic to see the wonderful choreography by the fans in the Curva Sud”.
 

He continued; “Fans in other parts of the stadium have often photographed this wonderful sight and television has taken these images around the world. I take satisfaction in knowing that I’ve contributed to your emotions and you have moved me to tears. I will be with Milan forever, with the same affection always with the colours in my heart”.
