EXCLUSIVE: Inter 'lead the way' in hunt for Calleri
It has taken just one tweet from Jonathan Calleri to confirm that he will no longer be a Boca Juniors player (LINK HERE). Better for Nerazzurri fans, it seems like the Argentine is likely to land at the San Siro.
Two middle-men involved in the Argentine's search for a new club, Fabio Amicucci and Silvio Trevisan, exclusively confirmed to calciomercato.com that the Nerazzurri could well land the Argentine.
"We can confirm that Inter have an edge in the Calleri sweepstakes. The player, as he himself has confessed, will definitely leave Boca. Palermo and other clubs are also interest, but Inter are ahead".
The negotiations are at an advantaced and key stage, which could be brought to a happy ending before Christmas.
"Inter is certainly a destination Jonathan likes, Inter is an important club with a history of Argentinian players, but we'll have to wait two-three days to see how talks go. He's a promising player with great potential, it'd be an important move for Italian football".
