On the eve of Argentina's World Cup qualifier against Brazil, Juventus star Paulo Dybala has talked about the pressure that comes with wearing the shirt of a club as prestigious as the Old Lady.

“I didn’t have to deal with all this pressure in Palermo, it's the same pressure I’ll have to endure when I’m with Argentina”.

Though former Rosanero star will be starting from the bench - and only has one Albiceleste cap so far - his Juventus team-mates still warned him about not being cowed by the occasion.

“Before leaving to join the Albiceleste my team-mates told me not be afraid, to not let myself be intimidated.

"Even the Brazilian guys, Hernanes, Neto, Alex Sandro and Rubinho told me not to let fear get the better of me".

Having been benched during the season by Coach Max Allegri, who also had some interesting things to say about the young Argentine's development, some feared that Dybala would struggle with the expectatios. Far from it, the former Palermo striker seems to be grateful for the increased responsibility.

“Juve has helped me become stronger, because it’s the kind of club where the only focus is on winning.

“This helps me to always remain concentrated on the pitch”.

Dybala ended by mentioning the locker room badenage, and the bets that are riding on this derby between two nations that are strongly represented in Serie A.

“I have to win, I’ll have to pay up otherwise, there's a number of bets going on in the dressing room…”
