Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has once again rejected a new contract offer from the French champions sparking more rumours that this will be his last season in the French capital. Sports journal L’Equipe claims that the player known as “Matador” and whose current deal expires in 2018, has refused to commit himself to the club after recent reports suggesting that he is wanted by Atletico Madrid and an unnamed club from the Premier League.
 

With current Atletico frontman Antoine Griezmann seemingly set to leave Spain this summer, the 29-year-old Uruguayan has been strongly fancied to become his successor. It had seems as though Cavani would leave the French capital this summer but after the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, new coach Unai Emery stressed that he wanted the former Napoli man to be his main man up front.  

Cavani has rewarded that trust by making an outstanding start to the new campaign despite his team’s indifferent form.
