Juventus ask Italian FA for €581 million compensation over calciopoli
Juventus were left disappointed when Lazio’s RegionalAdministrative Court rejectedtheir appeal for compensation over 2006 match fixing scandalcalciopoli last September, but the Old Lady’s president Andrea Agnelli is set to continue his battle by appealing to the last degree of administrative justice and asking the Italian FA for about € 581 million compensation, estimated as follows: € 31.6m for loss of revenues from games, € 24.3m of lost sponsorship, € 69m of media rights’ loss , € 245m for the brand’s decline, € 57.6m decrease for the drop of players’ market value and € 85 million for the delay in the implementation of the J Stadium. With a date for the hearing still to be established, Bianconeri lawyers are perfectly aware that they have little chance of getting a favourable ruling, but from the Agnelli family however, comes yet another sign of not wanting to accept the decision made by the Public Prosecutor and various courts on the events that led to convictions for Calciopoli.
