Bild claims that the Premier League club will now face a battle with both Juventus and Borussia Dortmund to secure his services.
The journal states that the bianconeri have already tabled a €30 million offer for the 20-year-old to try to see off the competition from England.
Reports from the UK on Sunday however, revealed that the Merseyside giants had tried to tempt the Bundesliga club with a £26 million bid. Now there is a third player in the game with rival Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund having reportedly offered €15 million plus Turkish midfielder Nuri Şahin.
The Syrian born German Under-21 international has shot to stardom since breaking into the Monchengladbach first-team and has already clocked up 54 appearances and scoring five goals. It now looks as though it’s a three-way fight to prize him away from Borussia-Park.
