CM EXCLUSIVE: United and Bayern back for Felipe Anderson
Following a tough start to the season, he's notched two goals in yesterday’s 3-0 win over Torino.
That takes him to four goals in a week if you include the goals scored against Sassuolo in last week's 2-1 defeat to Sassuolo and the Aquile's 3-1 Europa League league win over Rosenborg.
The Brazil international is a top player once more, at least if the latest transfer market rumours are anything to go by.
Last March, the 22-year-old extended his deal with the Biancocelesti until June 2020; his contract has an €80 million release clause.
The two parties also have a gentlemen’s agreement regarding the possibility of the former Santos player leaving Rome –where he’s reportedly very happy- if he were to receive an offer from one of Europe’s top clubs.
Last summer, Manchester United offered €40 million, but the Roman club’s president Claudio Lotito refused.
After the Anderson's difficult start, it seemed that Lotito had made the wrong decision, but after this weekend it doesn't seem to be the case.
Anderson will be able to showcase his talent at the forthcoming Olympic games, so his stock could increase further.
The Red Devils –as well as Bayern Munich and PSG- may swoop on him again, but at the beginning of the Summer, not after.
