Hamsik 'Juventus wanted me last season, and so did Milan'
The Napoli midfield is enjoying another barnstorming season, recently scoring against Inter in a 3-0 rout at the San Paolo.
“I could have left, Milan wanted me five years ago”, he confessed to the excelled So Foot, “Juventus, for their part, wanted me last season”.
“I’d rather win one trophy with Napoli, than ten with anyone else. Nothing happened in the end [with Juventus] because I felt the president and the manager’s confidence in me, and their desire for me to stay”.
“The proof is that my current deal doesn’t have a release clause, neither myself nor the president [Aurelio De Laurentiis].
“People love me too much here in Naples for me to leave”.
Hamsik has already netted four Serie A goals this season, having banged in six during the 2015-2016 campaign.
