Sevilla Coach Sampaoli: 'It would be crazy to play for a draw against Juventus'
Sevilla’s Coach has said that his team won’t play for the draw in tomorrow night’s home game against Juventus. “Our objective is to make it past the group stage,” Jorge Sampaoli told media at a press conference, “we have another key game after Juventus, our trip to Lyon to finish up the group fixtures”.
With three wins and a 0-0 draw in Turin, the Europa League powerhouse have dominated Group H, and need only a draw to secure qualification to the Round of 16.
“We’ll face each team as protagonists, we always want to win and going out to get a draw tomorrow would be crazy”.
What has changed from the fixture in Turin? Sampaoli had an answer for that, too:
“We had the idea of neutralizing Juve’s attack. We’ll have to change tomorrow, because we can’t concede at home”.
Captain Sergio Escudero chipped in with his own thoughts: “We want to make it to the quarter-finals, we have the potential to do it, after all we beat Juventus last year and drew in Turin this year”.
