Juve, Mandragora is almost ready: already a duel between Empoli & Pescara
He was actually Juve’s first purchase of the season but then Rolando Mandragora picked up an injury towards the end of last season which means he missed Pescara’s promotion party and the opening quarter of the new campaign with the bianconeri. After a summer of false starts towards rehabilitation it seems as though the 19-year-old midfielder will return to the group this month but it could be short-lived, with a possible loan-move in January a likely scenario.
PESCARA & EMPOLI:
Many clubs have expressed an interest in taking him; his former club Pescara may use their excellent relationship with the champions to bring him back to the Stadio Adriatico for the second-half of the campaign. Gazzetta dello Sport claims that former boss Massimo Oddo would welcome him back with open arms but they could face competition from Empoli, who had already booked Rodrigo Bentancur, should he arrive in Turin from Boca Juniors. With Sasuolo, Chievo and Cagliari all offering some valuable top-flight experience, Mandragora is spoilt for choice; now it’s over to Max Allegri to map out his immediate future.
