Champions League, Juventus: Higuain a doubt for Sevilla clash
The Argentinean striker was hit at his right foot during last week-end’s Serie A clash against Pescara and although he had not felt pain during and after the game, Higuain complained of an ache in his foot yesterday and the Serie A giants’ medical staff are now monitoring the striker’s physical conditions.
If Higuain is not eligible to play tomorrow’s Champions League game, Allegri will swap formation using a 4-3-3 system with Mario Mandzukic replacing Higuain as a sole striker, Alex Sandro and Cuadrado on the wings.
Youngester Moise Kean is not likely to start the game even if Higuain is ruled out of the game as the 16-year-old striker would be the only forward at Allegri’s disposal apart from Mandzukic.
Tomorrow’s Champions League clash to Sevilla is the most important game for Juventus so far this season as a win would see Juventus very likely to qualify to the knock-out stage as group winners, whilst a lose could put their future in the competition in doubt, especially if Lyon win in Zagreb against Dynamo.
