    Zamparini: pass Dybala the ball!

    • Edo Dalmonte
Nothing spices things up quite like a Maurizio Zamparini soundbite. Despite having  made a tidy profit from young superstar Paulo Dybala’s 32 million summer move to Juventus, the Palermo president is still not completely satisfied.
“I follow Dybala with a lot of fondness. However, his teammates don’t always pass him the ball,” Zamparini told assembled media at Boccadifalco, Palermo’s training complex.

Juventus have struggled to recreate their dominant league form of years past following the summer departures of maestro Andrea Pirlo and Chilean enforcer Arturo Vidal.

“However, Juve has the best attack in Serie A. Some things will emerge with time.
“The early stages are always like this, the league is more balanced. A team’s real value becomes apparent 15-20 Sundays into the season”.

Juve will certainly hope so, having reinforced their midfield with Chelsea loanee Juan Cuadrado and €10 million signing Hernanes. Maurizio Zamparini’s recent Palermo sides have contributed the likes of Luca Toni, Javier Pastore, Ezequiel Lavezzi to Champions League football… but also less impressive additions like Amauri, who moved to Juventus in exchange for a king’s ransom of €22.8 million, only to fail to meet up to expectations after a promising first season.
