As reported yesterday, Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has confirmed –despite the recent deceiving performances- his first team’s coach Walter Mazzarri: this latter has perhaps declared that he has no intention to resign, and, as well known, has recently extended his deal with the nerazzurri, so his firing would cost about 10 million euros to the Indonesia tycoon; in any case, as anticipated by calciomercato.com and confirmed this morning by the three major Italian sport newspapers, the confidence given by the Lombard club to the 53-year-old is just temporary, and subjected to the next results: in case the situation will become worse, Inter –according to Tuttosport- will probably appoint one of their former players, and a low-cost option could be 54-year-old Walter Zenga, actually without a contract; for the next season, the nerazzurri are deraming of Atletico Madrid 45-year-old Diego Pablo Simeone, while Sampdoria same-aged Sinisa Mihajlovic seems a more realistic option. Thohir has also promised to reinforce the team during the next transfer window, and –according to La Gazzetta dello Sport- the Lombard club’s great strike could be Dynamo Kijv 25-year-old winger Andriy Yarmolenko. Also city rivals AC Milan are already active on the transfer market, and –as reported by Tuttosport- if Benfica 24-year-old winger Eduardo Salvio and Real Madrid 27-year-old Sami Khedira seem extremely difficult to sign, two credible options for the rossoneri are Lyon 23-year-old attacking midfielder Clement Grenier and Atalanta 21-year-old playmaker Daniele Baselli.
