Raiola returns to Italy: new contact with Manchester United, Juve on Matuidi
After flying to the US to meet Paul Pogba, super-agent Mino Raiola is back in Italy. Today, he will meet with Manchester United executives to try to finalise a deal to take the Frenchman back to Old Trafford. A salary for the 23-year-old of €12 million net plus €1 million bonus per season has already been agreed and Red Devils CEO Ed Woodward is returning from the clubs tour of China to discuss things further. Juve make no more discounts on the price however, they are still asking for €120 million plus bonuses and commission.
Meanwhile, the bianconeri continue to monitor the market for midfield replacements. For now, the road to sign Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic seems blocked so thr case for Axel Witsel is once again re-opened as the Belgian international has not agreed a deal with Everton so far. A new name is also on the horizon in the shape of PSG’s Blaise Matuidi, a player also courted by Manchester United. In the background, remain other possible solutions such as Moussa Sissoko (Newcastle) and Marcelo Brozovic (Inter).
