Man Utd’s Darmain plays down transfer speculations

Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian is not getting regular game time under José Mourinho so far this season and is being linked with leaving the Old Trafford hierarchy in January with Juventus and Inter that are said to be interested in signing the Italy International.

The former Torino defender has released an interview with The Sun revealing that he’s not willing to leave Manchester United in January.

“I’m playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world and I am very happy here. I’ve heard many transfer rumours about my future, but I know nothing about that, I’ll carry on doing my job and work hard for the team. Of course I’m not happy with my game time, but I want to stay here and the most important thing is to work hard and help the team to win.”

Darmian, 27, moved to Manchester United in summer 2015 for € 18 million and has only registered nine appearances so far this season.
