Juventus looking for January midfield reinforcement: all the names

Juventus will sign some midfield reinforcement in the January window. The Old Lady came close to signing Axel Witsel last summer, but the Belgian’s J Stadium move collapsed in the deadline day of the transfer window.

The bianconeri will try to sign him in January for not more than € 5-6 million as the player’s contract with Zenit runs until June 2017 and the Serie A giants have already found agreement to sign him as a free agent at the end of the season.

Max Allegri, however, need some big names to arrive in January if he wants Juventus to become credible contenders for the Champions League win. The Old Lady’s midfield is still not deep enough to sustain both the Serie A and the Champions League and Witsel is not the only player on the Old Lady’s shopping list.

Rodrigo Bentancur will arrive from Boca Juniors. The Uruguayan starlet, however, could leave on loan for six months to gain some Serie A experience. Marco Verratti is the drea, but the Italian is not likely to leave PSG in January, though his teammate Blaise Matuidi could leave the Parc des Princes.

The Frenchman’s agent Mino Raiola has recently claimed that he will do ‘everything he can’ to bring his client to the J Stadium in the winter transfer window. Matuidi, however, cannot play Champions Leagu football. Would the Old Lady be still interested?
