Juve to Paris for Cavani and Batshuayi
Juventus coach Max Allegri is preparing for tonight’s Coppa Italia Final but some of the club’s executives are heading to another cup-final, the one taking place in Paris between PSG and Marseille. The bianconeri want to continue their domestic dominance and make a full assault on the Champions League next season.
OBJECTIVE CAVANI
Edinson Cavani remains the number one target for Juventus and the Uruguayan striker will be on view at the Stade de France this evening for PSG but in order for the French champions to part with the 29-year-old, they will have to attempt the deal of the century to bring Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to the French capital. It’s for this reason alone, that the bianconeri’s chances remain slight.
THE ALTERNATIVE
There is the fierce competition from Atletico Madrid and Chelsea for Cavani so Juventus are looking at alternatives and one of them is Michy Batshuayi, the 22-year-old Belgian striker of Marseille who are PSG’s opponents this evening. The player closed the season in Ligue 1 with 15 goals in 33 official matches and is under contract in the port city until 2020. His current market value is around €30 million and he is under observation from Roma, Spurs and Atletico Madrid.
