EXCLUSIVE: Pallotta blocks Sabatini’s move to Bologna

AS Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini was supposed to move to Bologna at the end of the season. The giallorossi director had already reached agreement with Bologna to become Pantaleo Corvino’s successor, but calciomercato.com has exclusively learned that Roma president James Pallotta has blocked Sabatini’s move to the Stadio Dall’Ara.

Luciano Spalletti and the capitolines sporting director are on really good terms, so much so Sabatini had continued to negotiate players for AS Roma despite being almost out of the club and James Pallotta thinks extremely high of Sabatini, which means he won’t be leaving the Olimpico in the summer.

Now that Corvino has been officially released by Bologna, the felsinei will try to replace the sporting director who’s heading to Fiorentina with Verona DS Riccardo Bigon.
