Sabatini: "Roma will take El Shaarawy"
He will stay in the capital next season. No return to Milan for Stephan El Shaarawy. The player, who joined Roma in January for an initial loan of €1.4 million, will stay with the club according to Sporting Director Walter Sabatini.
Speaking to Corriere dello Sport, he stated that; “El Shaarawy will stay here, he deserves it, same as Rudiger. Iturbe will return and we will try to find space for him whereas Ljajic will be accommodated elsewhere. Dzeko will stay providing he doesn’t ask to leave but it’s difficult with Szczesny due to the demands of Arsenal. Totti? He deserves his renewal, Gerson? He’s not at his best at the moment but he’s a strong player”.
THE CODE OF THE OPERATION
El Shaarawy will cost the giallorossi a further €13 million but the club from the capital are trying to get a little discount. The operation should be concluded by June 30 with Milan possibly dropping the price by €1 million. The 23-year-old has scored 7 goals in 14 appearances since joining in the New Year.
