Carlo Cudicini set to join Antonio Conte’s Chelsea backroom staff
According to the Italian transfer pundit, Conte has recommended Roman Abramovich to hire the old Blues’ goalkeeper and the club’s owner is expected to satisfy Conte’s request.
Cudicini, 42, spent ten seasons at the Stamford Bridge during his playing career registering 87 clean sheets in 191 games in all competitions. The former Lazio and AC Milan goalkeeper has also played for Tottenham in the Premier League.
Carlo Cudicini’s arrival in South West London might push current Chelsea goalkeeper coach Christophe Lollichon away from the club as his relationship with senior goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois reportedly deteriorated at the end of last season.
