According to Spanish sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are monitoring the situation between bitter rivals Real Madrid and their Spanish midfielder Isco over his future at the club.
 

The 24-year-old’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu is still unclear and the journal reports that talks with the club over a possible contract extension, have once again been put on-hold. Isco has had a mini renaissance at the club under the guidance of new coach Zinedine Zidane; the French tactician playing him in a more advanced role to try to support the forward-line.
 

With a contract expiring in 2018, Isco looked set to be leaving but recently stated that he was happy in the Spanish capital and that he was in no hurry to commence new contract talks. Barcelona will continue to observe events with interest before finally deciding whether to make a shock move to bring the player to the Camp Nou.
