Agent: Southampton's Ramirez wants Serie A return
Stuck on the bench at Saint Mary's and now years removed from his Italian glory days, Ramirez revealed his wish to return to Serie A through his agent a couple of weeks ago through his agent, Pablo Betancourt.
"Ramirez has had many injury issues in England, and has even missed out on representing Uruguay at the Copa America," Betancourt told Radio Nettuno.
"Gaston wants to return to Italy, he thinks about it all the time.
"If we talk Italy, we talk of Bologna, it's his favourite destination in Italy. Ramirez can leave Southampton in January, and [Bologna DS] Pantaleo Corvino likes him.
"It's not about money, but the possibility of becoming an important player in a city he loves. Were Bologna's offer to be equal, or even slightly lower than another team's, they would be Gaston's priority".
