Zamparini: ‘Iachini’s future depends on Chievo game’
The Sicilians’ President Maurizio Zamparini seems to have lost patience with the 51 year old who is in charge of Palermo since 2013.
“I have not fired Iachini - Zamparini told Italpress – but it is clear that the next game against Chievo will be decisive for him.”
The 74 year old entrepreneur has already sacked 52 managers since he made his debut in the world of football in 1988 and yesterday’s home defeat at the hands of Empoli have left a bad taste in his mouth.
“Snatching a draw in yesterday’s game would have changed nothing. This is not my team yet, let’s see what’s going to happened in the future. I expect the manager to make some changes in the next game, brining in players who are willing to battle it out.”
In case Iachini won’t be able to make a quick U-turn in the next game, it seems that Zamparini has already thought about how to solve Palermo’s woes.
