WOW! Napoli trying to bring PSG striker Cavani back to Serie A!
Thing is, president Aurelio De Laurentiis is still looking to replace the Argentine, and Cavani seems to be the number one option. He isn’t in Naples (as many have claimed), however, but in Montecarlo, where his PSG side will face Monaco today.
The Corriere dello Sport claim that Napoli and Cavani have reached an agreement, now they just need to convince PSG.
The Uruguayan striker wants to return, and be reunited with sons Bautista and Lucas, who never left Italy’s Southern jewel. Were he to play for Napoli again, Cavani would only need 11 goals to catch up with Diego Maradona.
His previously bad relationship with president Aurelio De Laurentiis seems to have been mended. The deal is nowhere near done, but the base is solid.
