    EXCLUSIVE ROMANO: Witsel, Zenit are irritated, Juve are ready for a blitz

    As a deal seemed done and Witsel was ready to undergo a Juventus medical, a deal then failed at the last moment. It now seems that Zenit are still resisting as they do not want to lose the player in January for a minimal sum of money. 

    Zenit's resistance- Zenit's management are very hard to negotiate with. They are irritated as they now want to keep the player. Soon, Zenit will call Witsel's father to offer them a super rich contract (even more than what Juve had offered him) in an attempt to keep him. 

    Juve's blitz- Marotta said that a deal for Witsel is just postponed as Juve's sporting director Paratici is ready to meet with Witsel's father in the coming weeks to offer him a 5 year contract at 4 million euros per season. Juve will try hard to get him in January but they know that Zenit will be hard to break and this is why they want to meet the player's father. If they can't get him right away, they want to at least secure him for next summer.
