Why Hector Bellerin has rejected Arsenal contract extension offer
The Spanish right-back is a long time target of both Guardiola and his former club Barcelona which had been tracking the player since last summer, when Dani Alves moved to Juventus.
Bellerin’s market value is believed to be around £ 40 million and a move to the Etihad would reportedly allow him to double his salary.
Bellerin’s Arsenal deal runs until June 2019 and he would not be the first Arsenal player moving to the Etihad as the likes of Bacary Sagna, Gael Clichy, Emanuel Adebayor and Samir Nasri have already walked down the same path.
