What did Higuain sway to his former Napoli team-mates?
The former Napoli man faces a team he jilted only a few months ago for a king’s ransom, further strengthening a direct rival.
While the city of Naples has not forgiven “Giudain” for his move, it appears that he still gets on well with his former team-mates.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Argentine star exchanged a few text messages with the Napoli squad, joking that he wished his team-mates would “Drink a lot, show up the game drunk… so that I can score a brace”.
The answer went along with the friendly one-upmanship, inviting the Argentine to “eat a lot”, an obvious jibe at his weight.
Higuain gets on with the Napoli squad very well indeed, meeting many of his former colleagues in a Milan restaurant after Napoli have travelled to Bergamo, where they lost 1-0.
