Verona sack manager Andrea Mandorlini
The 55-year- leaves the Gialloblu sitting rock bottom on the league table after having snatched only six draws and suffered eight defeats in 14 Serie A games. Despite scoring 10 goals thus far, Verona have only netted once from open play this term.
The club thanked Mandorlini and his staff for their ‘passion and competence’ which allowed the club to be promoted from Lega Pro (Italy’s third division) to Serie A.
Former Chievo Verona legendary player and boss Eugenio Corini is in pole position to take over at the club after Mandorlini’s sacking.
