Udinese, Di Natale announces his departure from the club
At a press conference ahead of tomorrow’s match against Torino, Udinese striker Antonio Di Natale has announced he will leave the club at the end of the season.
On the club’s official twitter page the veteran explained that; “I’m sorry I cannot be there for the Torino game but I’m still recovering from injury. I want to be ready for the match against Carpi in order to be able to celebrate with the fans at my final match. I’m proud of what I have done here; I’ve had 12 wonderful years. For this I want to thank the club, my colleagues and the supporters”.
Club President Pozzo remarked that; “Di Natale is a player who will go into the history books at Udinese. Unfortunately, this season he has had many physical problems and it’s been a difficult campaign for him and the team”. Asked about his future, the patron stated that; “I don’t know if he wants to carry on playing; if Totti can then I believe his is also able to”.
