Torino listen to Shilton; "Hart has been undervalued, Italy is not ideal for him"

Former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton has spoken about the future of the current number one for the Three Lions, Joe Hart. The 67-year-old, who appeared in three World Cup Finals for his country explained that; “I stated before Euro 2016 that I didn’t think Joe Hart was as good as a lot of people thought he was but he’s obviously a good goalkeeper. I feel he makes a few too many errors but obviously he has a lot of natural ability”.

When asked about his woeful performances in France last summer, Shilton explained that; “Two mistakes in three games is obviously not good and now he will be a real fight for his place with Jack Butland and Fraser Forster to keep the number one jersey”. Asked if he felt sorry for Hart having to leave Manchester City he replied; “No not really, because he’s a professional. One manager has his own opinions so you have to go out and prove him wrong. Maybe going to Italy is not ideal but if he starts performing well then he’ll obviously be in contention to keep his place for England”.
