Spurs, negotiations continue in Lloris contract extension
Hugo Lloris and Tottenham Hotspur continue to negotiate a contract extension. Reports from the English media suggest that the 29-year-old French international goalkeeper is keen to remain at White Hart Lane after another impressive start to the new campaign.
The custodian was in splendid form at the weekend as his team beat title favourites Manchester City and he told the Daily Mail the secret behind his teams continued good form explaining that; “‘It is true, we are in a good moment. Football is always about spirit, about the team performance and this was perfect. Thanks to the gaffer, the staff and the players, we are all involved and the spirit is fantastic. We work very hard every day and for us this is not a surprise to be at this level. We do a lot of work.”
He continued; “We have some strong basics which help us to get confident in this type of game and I think we were rewarded because we worked so hard. Every day this gives us enjoyment. We try a lot and we take a lot of risks and we try to play as high as possible on the pitch. We try to put pressure on teams - this is our football style. We try to be very aggressive at the start of the games. It is about belief. Everything is possible.”
Lloris has now headed out on international duty as captain of his country who face tough World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Holland. Spurs are anxious to tie all their major stars down to new deals and after Harry Kane, Kyle Walker, Christian Eriksen, Danny Rose and Dele Alli, Lloris looks set to continue the trend by committing his future to the North London club.
