Spurs linked with Milan target Badelj

According to reports from the Guardian, Spurs are closely following Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj. The 27-year-old Croatian is already a wanted man with Serie A giants AC Milan having been strongly linked with a move for his services last summer however, the rossoneri were unable to force through a deal as they were waiting for confirmation that the club would be taken over by new Chinese investors.

Now the new owners are in place, it seems inevitable that the Italian's will launch another bid in the new year but they look set to face competition from Tottenham Hotspur whose current manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is a huge admirer. The player has been in Tuscany since 2014 but has been unfortunate with injuries that have restricted him to just 51 appearances for La Viola. Badelj has also made 25 appearances for his country since 2010 scoring just one goal.
