Spalletti: ‘Nobody steps aside against Roma’

AS Roma boss Luciano Spalletti met media on Saturday evening, ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A clash against Bologna.

The Italian tactician was asked to share his thoughts on Gianluigi Buffon’s claims who had reportedly warned his teammates that Juventus are winning games in Serie A because opponents ‘step aside’

“I don’t what happens at Juventus because I am just too focused on AS Roma. Nobody helps us and every game is difficult for us. Nobody steps aside against AS Roma, just look at the last Sunday game when Skorupski saved every shot on target.”

Spalletti also gave an update on AS Roma injured players: “Totti and Manolas are training a part from the group, Seck and Fazio are training with us and Paredes will train today to see how he feels. Vermaelen doesn’t need surgery at the moment, but sports hernia is a very annoying injury.”

AS Roma sit second in the Serie A table, four points behind table leaders Juventus.
