Roma, Spalletti: "At times we drop our levels. Strootman is ready. Blind? I haven't got time for him"

After Thursday’s 3-3 draw against Austria Vienna in the Europa League where his side conceded two late goals, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has been speaking ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A home game against Palermo. He began by explaining that; “It will be a dangerous game for us. Palermo play better away from home. We must stay focused and not repeat the mistakes of Thursday”.

When asked about the comments from Dutch national team coach Danny Blind he replied; “He was right, I have no time to lose, Strootman is available”. He continued to speak about his Dutchman’s recovery by stating that; “He trained OK yesterday and he will be in the squad but we must use him in the correct manner”, before adding that, “Rudiger has played with the Primavera and scored. Now he has to complete his recovery and he will not be with us tomorrow but he will be ready for Wednesday. Peres, Mario Rui and Perotti are continuing their rehabilitation and Vermalen’s return is looking more positive”.

On tomorrow’s opposition he explained that; “People say it’s a favourable match to have but this is only the case if we win. We will see what we can produce as occasionally, we seem to drop our levels”.
