According to reports in The Sun, England captain Wayne Rooney gate-crashed a wedding reception at the Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire, where the England team have been staying for their international fixtures against Scotland and Spain. After the Three Lions had sent Gordon Strachan’s team packing with a 3-0 victory at Wembley on Friday evening, the Manchester United striker reportedly stayed on at the hotel as the rest of his teammates left and was spotted by disbelieving guests at a private wedding party on Saturday night. 
 

Having been ruled out of tonight’s friendly against Spain, Rooney apparently posed for photographs with guests and witnesses also commented on how friendly he had been with other revellers. One unnamed source described the 30-year-old as being “s**t- faced” before adding that; “I guess he was just continuing the celebrations after England had beaten Scotland but he was not a pretty sight by the time he left about 1am”
