Bolt continues to dream of playing for Manchester United
Sprint legend Usain Bolt has not given up hope of becoming a professional footballer. The 31-year-old has always maintained that he dreams of playing for Manchester United and in an interview with The Guardian newspaper, the Jamaican explained that he is about to commence training with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
The multiple Olympic champion stated that; “Let’s see what happens. It remains my dream to play for Manchester United “. The interview reveals that Bolt contacted Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel who agreed to let him join in the training sessions with his players.
It’s well known that the fastest man in the world is a lifelong supporter of the Red Devils and when he famously spoke ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games in London that he would continue to pursue a career in professional football, few believed that he was actually being serious about achieving this. These latest claims now make it quite clear that the Jamaican has his heart set on making an appearance at the “Theatre of Dreams”.
