Manchester City and Barcelona linked with Juventus’ promising right-back
The Spanish right-back impressed with Juventus’ Primavera team last term and the Serie A giants decided to test him at a senior level last summer loaning him out to Sassuolo, a club which is well known in Italy for developing young prospects.
It comes as no secret that some of the best Italian prospects are under contract with the neroverdi, from Politano to Pellegrini, from Berardi to Sensi.
Being both in desperate need for a new right-back, however, Manchester City and Barcelona have been scouting the 19-year-old who has one assist and one goal in 13 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
According to reports in Italy, however, the Old Lady is not willing to listen to any offer for one of the most promising products of her academy.
Lirola’s Juventus contract runs until 2020, but Sassuolo will keep the talented defender until the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
