EXCLUSIVE Romano: Atletico target Icardi worth €50 million
The Colchoneros already made some attempts for the 23-year-old: last Summer, the Spanish club contacted the then agent Abian Morano, and were ready to offer €30 million: not enough for the nerazzurri, who decided to renew the Argentine’s contract and sell Mateo Kovacic.
During the next transfer window, Atletico will make a new attempt, but the Lombard club’s president Erick Thohir and his Director of Sports Piero Ausilio already have their strategy: Inter will have to sell some of their stars, but this doesn’t mean that they will make discounts: the right price for Icardi could be €50 million, considering that he is just 23 and that he is also a target for other clubs.
