Icardi: ‘I want to stay and win trophies with Inter’
“Every year I am rumoured to be leaving the club, but that’s not true. The club have made a good job brining here good players.”
“Where should I go? I am happy here. I am happy to be the team’s captain, to play as a striker and to score goals. Of Course I want to win trophies but I want to do it here, like other players had done before me.”
“We’ll be even more competitive in the next season. Inter’s objective must be to win the title and play the Champions League.”
“We are a group of good guys, I don’t need to be the bad one. I have never tolerated players shouting at each other on the pitch, it stress my out!”
“All other teammates are looking at you, a good example is way better than words.”
“Mancini never shouts. He’s a manager but he still looks at everyday life with the eyes of the footballer. He knows what it means. Mazzari’s attitude is the one you expect from a classic coach, he gets more angry than Mancini.”
“I left home when I was 13, I’ve always spent time with people older than me. It has helped my growth. Wanda has changed my life, she’s one of the most popular women in Argentina, but she’s helping me to be a good father and a good footballer. I am more concentrate on my career, even if I did what I wanted when I was at Barcelona, everything has changed since I met her.”
“I’ve always scored goals. I’ve netted 14 this term and an injury has affected me, while I scored 22 last term. I don’t know how to dive and I don’t like it. Belotti was smart against us, because he noticed he had lost the ball but when he was Nagatomo running towards him and he dived. I don’t even know how to make that thing.”
