Inter Milan news: Icardi to miss AS Roma clash, Berardi transfer ‘almost impossible’
The Giallorossi sit 3rd in Serie A and have won each of their last seven league games. Inter Milan are five points behind Luciano Spalletti’s side and are sharing the fourth spot with Fiorentina.
Sky Sport Italia reports Roberto Mancini will probably have to do without injured Mauro Icardi on Saturday night. The Argentinean nit-man underwent medical examination today, but he’s yet to come back to training after he picked up an injury during Inter’s 2-1 defeat over Bologna last week.
Former Sampdoria star Eder will probably replace Icardi as the Nerazzurri main forward, while both Geoffrey Kondogbia and Marcelo Brozovic should be eligible to play against AS Roma, even if one of them could be dropped to let Adem Ljajic, Ivan Perisic and Jonathan Biabiany playing behind Eder.
In the meantime Inter director of sport Piero Ausilio has released a very interesting interview to Inter Channel revealing some interesting details about the club’s summer transfer strategies.
“We have some ideas, we think we can always improve and so we are trying to understand if there are any players available who could improve our team. We have some very good midfielders already who can still give a lot for Inter as they proved in the last few games.”
“Berardi’s transfer will be difficult. I like him a lot, but it will be almost impossible to sign him. He has a contract with Sassuolo and as far as I know he could move to Juventus.”
“Milik is another very interesting player. We are keeping tabs on him, nothing more. We know we are not the only ones after him, but we have to follow the most interesting prospects.”
