Roma and Arsenal on Godin
Roma are not the only club interested in Diego Godin. The Atletico Madrid defender is being followed by Arsenal as well and could leave his current club in January.
The Giallorossi need to strengthen the backline given the injury suffered by Nicolas Burdisso as well as the poor performances from Gabriel Heinze, Simon Kjaer and Juan.
On the other hand, Arsene Wenger is looking to bring in Godin because he would represent a valid alternative to Per Mertesacker, who has so far been disappointing in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old defender joined Atletico from Villarreal in 2010 and although he is not one of the hottest names in the transfer market at the moment, he was previously linked to Chelsea and Inter.
