Revealed: The four PSG stars on Juventus' watchlist
According to various reports, there are currently four players Juventus is interested in signing once the 2016-17 campaign ends.
Thiago Silva is on the Old Lady’s radars since very long time. The Brazilian’s contract expires at the end of the season and the club’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta has already said that Juventus will make an attempt to sign him if the player fails to sign a new deal with the Ligue1 giants. Chelsea, Milan Real Madrid, however, are going to give Juventus hard times as they are also interested in signing the former rossoneri star.
Marco Verratti is another long-time target of Juventus. The bianconeri have been tracking him since he was a player of Pescara in Serie B. PSG, however, have just extended the player’s contract and are not willing to sell the Italian star at any price. Things could change, however, if Verratti forces the club to sell him, but that is a difficult scenario to predict at this stage. Chelsea and Barcelona also want to sign the Italy International.
If Juventus fail to get Verratti in the summer, then they’d pounce on his teammate Javier Pastore, a former Palermo attacking midfielder who can play either as trequartista or centre midfielder. Pastone has two assists and one goal in six games in all competitions so far.
Blaise Matuidi is also a target of Juventus as they tried to sign him last summer as a replacement for departed Paul Pogba. The Old Lady, however, are believed to be more interested in Verratti and Pastore and they’ll try to sign one of them before making a new attempt for the French International whose agent – Mino Raiola – is known to be on very good terms with the Serie A defending champions.
