Report: Valencia want to grab ailing West Ham striker Zaza

Valencia could provide a lifeline to both West Ham and struggling Italian striker Simone Zaza, according to reports.

The reliable Daily Mirror claim that the Spanish team is in need of firepower upfront, and is willing to shell out to bring the former Juventus man over to La Liga.

Signed on a £5 million loan, but with a £20m buyout should he reach ten league appearances, Zaza is quickly turning into dead money for the Hammers, who are, according to the Mirror, looking for a painless solution to the problem in January.

This could be it. Familiar with Zaza since he was Italy Coach, Prandelli has already been linked with the West Ham man in the last few weeks.

Zaza has yet to score in competitive matches with the Premier League side, who are languishing in the bottom 10.

Valencia are said to have a major £75m transfer kitty, having sold Paco Alcacer and Juventus target Andre Gomes to Barcelona in summer, and would be willing to offer a loan deal with buyout on certain conditions.
