    Real Madrid to make official bid for PSG star Verratti

    Real Madrid are looking for a new centre midfielder. The Merengues had been linked with welcoming the services of both Paul Pogba and Andre Gomes but with the French ace who is close to becoming a new Manchester United player and the Portugal International who has just moved to Real Madrid’s hated rivals Barcelona, Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez are running out of options.

    That’s why, according to Sport, the 11-time Champions League winners have set sights on a long time target of their hated rivals Barcelona. The Merengues’ opening € 50 million bid is likely to be rejected by PSG as Unai Emery considers the Italy International a mainstay of the Ligue1 giants and is not even considering the sale of the former Pescara man.

    Florentino Perez, however, wants to gift Zidane with a new top-class centre midfielder and is not thought to give up on the player so easily, especially because there are not too many players ‘available’ on the market that can raise the level of the Bernabeu outfit.
