PSG targeting River Plate striker Alario
French sports journal L’Equipe reports that Paris Saint-Germain are considering a move for River Plate striker Lucas Alario for him to be the back-up to current front man, Edinson Cavani.
The 24-year-old Argentine has been linked with a number of clubs around Europe with Serie A duo Inter Milan and AC Milan also known admirers. With Cavani’s future in the French capital next season still uncertain, Alario could also be considered as a replacement for the Uruguayan should he decide to call time on his time at the Parc des Princes.
The player born in Tostado has scored 11 times in just 19 appearances for Los Millonarios and President Rodolfo D’Onofrio is resigned to losing him to one of Europe’s biggest clubs next season. In August, Alario finally broke into the Argentine national team and in September he made his debut on the opposing side to Cavani, as Argentina played Uruguay in a World Cup Qualifier.
