PSG, Napoli make identical bids for Rodrigo Caio, Milan could be left behind

The latest news about Milan target Rodrigo Caio isn't reassuring... at least not for the Rossoneri faithful.

Singled out as Vincenzo Montella's priority in the coming transfer window, the Olympic Champion is, according to ESPN reporter Jorge Nicola, the subject of identical €13 million offers from both Napoli and PSG.

The Ligue 1 champions are looking for alternatives for David Luiz, who left for Chelsea on transfer deadline day, while Napoli are looking for cover for both Luca Tonelli and Nikola Maksimovic, both of them summer acquisitions.

Sao Paulo had, however, asked for 15 million, but the kicker is that part of the bids would be immediately sent to the Brazilians, and the remaining sum transferred in January, when the deal is finalized.

Milan, for their part, are stuck without the new owners' funds, making CEO Marco Fassone's work with Caio's family – both they and the defender like the idea of moving to Milan – potentiall worthless. Will the Rossoneri be able to respond?
