EXCLUSIVE ROMANO: Pogba, Juve and the future

Whoever wants Paul Pogba must wait until the end of Euro 2016 and for less than €100 million Juventus doesn’t even bother to sit down and discuss anything. At the moment CEO Marotta and Sporting Director Paratici and have not received any official bids and the players agent, the ever-vigilant Mino Raiola, has only kept a watching brief.

    THE SITUATION
The last official offer arrived at the end of August last year; Chelsea offered almost €90 million, but there was no agreement with Pogba. Barcelona have explored the situation in January, but the 23-year-old postponed any negotiation until the summer. Juventus were brave to set a high-price on their star player; Raiola for his part has alerted all that for less than €10-11 million per season, they cannot sit down and negotiate personal terms. You can never say never in football, but we can say - as we have reiterated for months now, that Pogba’s farewell to Juve remains distant.

    RENEWAL PROMISED
Juventus have already promised Pogba that talks on a new deal in Turin will start in the autumn. Marotta and Paratici have had several meetings with Raiola. The bianconeri propose to increase his salary from €4.5 million to €6 million plus bonuses. Today the waters are calm, tomorrow who knows.  As for Pogba, he’s happy at Juventus but now his focus turns to the European Championships in his home country.
